Compulsory Team

COMPETITIVE TEAM

Competitive team membership is for the child who wants more of the sport than can be achieved by participation in our recreational program.

Membership in our competitive team program results when a child has completed a testing process and is invited to the team. The majority of our competitive team members come from our developmental program. Competitive team requires more dedication and commitment on the part of the child, the parent and the coaching staff.

COMPULSORY GYMNASTICS

At levels 3, 4 and 5, athletes compete in what is called “Compulsory Levels.” Routines are designed to establish sound fundamentals. Each athlete performs the same routine to a prescribed criterion. She who performs closest to the criterion scores the highest.

As part of the compulsory team, gymnasts are expected to attend every practice and competition throughout the training and competitive season. Gymnasts are expected to show discipline, work ethic, motivation, coachability and the drive to learn and try new skills with the goal of progressing to earn a spot on our Optional Team.

COMPULSORY TRAINING

Our compulsory teams train the following days and times:

Ua Koko: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:30 - 5:00 PM
Team White (Level 3/4): Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 - 6:30 PM
Team Red (Level 4/5): Wednesdays and Fridays from 3:30 - 7:00 PM, Saturdays from 10:00 AM - 1:30 PM
Team Black (Level 5/6): Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 4:00 - 8:00 PM
