Recreational Gymnastics
Kokokahi Gymnastics prepares girls and boys for participation in the sport using guidelines set forth by USA Gymnastics, the governing body of gymnastics in the United States. Classes consist of a brief warm-up and stretch, followed by skill development on the different apparatus. Students learn to take control of their mind and body while having fun.
Toddler Class (12 - 36 months)
Roll like a ball, walk on the balance beam, jump on the trampoline and more, in this fun and safety oriented class. This introductory gymnastics class develops motor skills while teaching them gymnastics terms and basic gymnastics skills. Emphasis is on self confidence and socialization with other children through parent/adult participation.
Gymmini Class (co-ed 3 - 5 years) Gymnasts develop a sense of comfort in and around the gym as they are introduced to more gymnastics terms and skills. Students learn to follow directions, take turns and have fun developing their gymnastics skills.
Level 1 Girls (5 - 10 years)
This class is designed for the new or beginning gymnast. They introduce the gymnasts to skills appropriate to the women's apparatus, such as the vault, uneven bars, balance beam and floor exercise with skill development on trampoline as well.

Advancement/Skill Evaluation
Coaches teach a variety of skills that help children become successful at each level of their gymnastics. When the gymnast has attained the desired skills at that level, advancement to the next level is done.
Some gymnasts will advance to the competitive level. At this level, there is more time/motivational commitment and parental involvement. If your child is ready for team, you will be notified.
Competitive Gymnastics
Since the mid 1970s, Kokokahi gymnasts have continued the tradition of winning medals at many USA Gymnastics sanctioned events. Competing with the finest gymnasts in the country, Kokokahi gymnasts have been qualifying to regional and national championships every year.
